ABOUT US
Our intentional breeding program is limited to 1-2 litters per year. Limiting our litters offers the best for our family member Momma Labs as well as for your pup. We adhere to the pre-natal and post-natal Vet care and diet protocol for both parents and pups. We practice proper protocol for your pups future mental and physical development and well-being.
Our motivation is to protect and promote the heritage of Labrador Retrievers. We are conscientious and committed Lab lovers first and foremost. We only raise Labradors from generation after generation of Health Tested and Paneled Dams and Sires with OFA hips, elbows, and eye clearances. Every pup is whelped and raised in our home as a family member from the minute of birth until being placed in our loving arms.
And oh… by the way… we have been raising AKC canines for over 30 years. We are responsible, knowledgeable, and love what we do. Red Barn Farm Labradors – Made in Vermont is not a business, but our passion.
Our pups are only placed in approved homes with an appreciation of who and what we morally practice at Red Bard Farm Labradors – Made in Vermont. As an approved RBFL Lab owner, we promise to keep you in the loop from mating, to ultrasound pregnancy confirmation, and puppy count x-ray just days prior to your pup’s birthday. Should time permit we keep our puppy families updated as the exciting births happen but make no promises on notification, as healthy attended pups and Momma are our first concern.
When you are on the RBFL Puppy Reserve List I will connect with you within a few days after pups have been born to hear all about the delivery, the genders and colors of available pups. Hopefully you were smart and committed to you pup and are on our Puppy Reserve List with your puppy gender and color preferences. Our Puppy Reserve List is only open to those approved by RBFL along with a $100. Deposit check to be used as credit towards your pup.
I do my best to meet everyone’s puppy gender and color wishes in order of deposit. Once we have secured your pup a check in the balance of half of your pup’s cost is appreciated. At 5-6 weeks old we schedule a private Puppy Pick and Visit where you will be in heaven playing with pups and choosing your specific pup again according to your Puppy Reserve List placement. Between Puppy Visit and Pick Day and Gotcha Day we will converse on crate training, kibble, Vet appointments, teething toys, puppy transitions techniques, and oh, so many other topics.
The next big day is Gotcha Day at 8 weeks where again you will have a private, scheduled appointment to pick up your pup. Your 8-week-old raised in our home and with our family pup on Gotcha Day will have record of a full Vet exam, first vaccinations, worming and a health record with AKC limited registration.
